Shilo's Dance Performance

Shilo started taking dance classes in September. She has been loving it so much and is always excited to go to practice. She has been working so hard on this performance and was tickled pink that the day had finally arrived. She was in the dace to the song "Money, money, money" and dressed in a ritzy girl costume with fake diamonds and all. She performed so well that people were asking me if I was sure she had not been dancing or performing her whole life. In a way I guess she has...just ask anyone who had to sit and listen and watch all performances at the cabin in the years passed!

Decorating for Xmas

This is the first year we have ever opted for the fake tree. We just had so much stuff going on this year that we never had time to get a real one. I have been storing this fake tree that was my mom's for 7 years now. Once I opened it and got it all set up I was so bummed by the fact of using a fake tree, that I decided that meant it's time for new ornaments. The kids and I headed to the store and bought all new ornaments and a new star. After it was all said and done...I loved it! The tree is beautiful and while at the store Shilo decided that our new tradition was to add something new each year to our Christmas village like Grandma Lucy used to. And so Shilo Picked out a very cute manger scene to add.

Chase Turned 9!!!!

For Chase's 9th birthday we decided to take him and 8 friends to play laser tag. He was so excited for this, that three days before every night, he had dreams about laser tag. Finally the day arrived and he could hardly contain himself. The party room we got was called Mystic Meadows. It was really cool because it was the only room that had black lights, so when you turned off the regular light everything glowed.We were allowed to bring our own pizza and cake, and of course Chases was most excited about the presents. Then it was time to pick our "Code Names". This is nick name that you pick for yourself to use during the game. When you are hit or you hit someone your code name is displayed. Chase decided to be "HghSpdChase", Shilo picked "Bobo", Brandon of course was "BDog", and I was "AwesomeMom". Then we were able to play a few games and video games before it was time for "Debriefing".
As soon as we entered the laser tag area, all of the boys disappeared not to be seen again til the end. But I did get a few pictures of Shilo. Who came in 4th out of 39 people by the way.And as we exited the arena, the staff was ready and waiting to toilet paper the birthday boy...Finally it was time for cake and presents...the best time of the party. Over all it was a very good 9th birthday for my baby boy.
