Twas the night before Chirstmas.... Sort of!!!

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse… Well not exactly! Twas the day before Christmas, and all through the house, was a lot of hustle and bustle, and I never saw a mouse. Chase was excited; there was four feet of snow. He bundled himself up and ran like the wind blows. The dogs were beside him the entire time, and never even hesitated on the big mountains he climbed. This morning was cold, so a fire was built, but the kids couldn’t care less and for sure felt no guilt. They simply wanted to see what the holidays had brought them, and of course were ecstatic and exclaimed, “Look what I got from him!” The present were ripped, torn, and piled, as each gift was looked over and presented with smiles. When the hype had all ended and each gift was exposed, each kid retired to their own corner to inspect their own loads.

Latter in the day, a treat was built high. More candy made it to mouths then on the roof or on the sides. They worked together nicely each taking a corner, but you all know like I do that Shilo made sure there was order. She helps in all areas taking control, which is often a blessing and something to behold. As baby raptor was screaming, she simply lifted him up. She stated “Look here Chanman…” and then he threw up. He is too small to make presents or even know what it’s all about, however he always had something to say or someway to pout.

As the day went on, Wii had games a plenty. Aubrey will show you how to hold the Wii remote steady. Hold your leg to one side, then stick out your tongue, this will for sure get the correct job done. We took turns on each team, but it was obvious who could not be beat. Just take a look at the film, me and Aston you could not defeat. Don’t worry your self Keena had the butt shake down. I’m not sure what this was for but seamed to help her out. With bellies so full, and the sore arms from Wii, it was time to settle down and of course Chan fell asleep. Every person wined down, and thanked the others, as they lay in their beds and pulled up the covers. Even though Grandpa was not in our sight, he knows that we love him and missed him this night. And so we would like to make this big wish, that every one got what they wanted on there list. Whether it is something materialistic and grand or something less obvious like world peace in the land. Hope your smiles are bright! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Chase is 8

That's right 8 years ago I gave birth to a 7 lbs. 11 oz. baby boy. He has grown so fast. When did the tantrums stop, when did he stop asking for his bum to be wiped, when did he learn to not only take his own baths but start showering too...all of those things that were an everyday occurrence and most of the time seemed a burden to me, are all gone now. I find myself sometimes thinking that I should have slowed down and enjoyed them more. Don't get me wrong Chase still needs a lot of help with some of the most simply things, pouring juice, matching clothes, and lets not forget cleaning the cat box. Which apparently if the cat poop is not in the box then its clean, doesn't matter what the floor around the cat box looks like. But, for the most part Chase has grown into a wonderful helper, amazing son, and even if Shilo wont agree out loud, an awesome little brother.

For Chase's birthday, he decided last summer that he wanted an outdoors party. However I kept explaining to him that someone who has a birthday in December cant be outdoors for his party. After many many months of trying to explain to him it would be too cold. He simply said "Mom there are plenty of things to do outside with snow on the ground. What do you hibernate all winter like some kind of bear?" Touche my little son touche. From that time on we decided that Chase would have a sledding party. It would be fun all the little boys would show up in the winter warmies and we could sled, build snowmen, and have snowball fights. Then retire to the house with a warm fire and hot cocoa right?....WRONG!!! Have you looked outside? Where the heck is all of the snow?

Well, waiting up until the week before his birthday for that big snow storm, we finally decided that sledding wouldn't happen. So then came the idea for ice skating. And what a wonderful idea it was. It just so happened that the Olympic Oval by our house was having there annual Holiday Festival on the same night we planned to have his party. So they offered free ice skating, games, bounce houses, Santa and entertainment. We had the boys meet at our house to open gifts, have pizza and cake, and play a bit. Then we headed for the rink. After standing in line for almost two hours we finally had our skates and were ready to play. One of Chase's friends plays on a hockey league and so had his own skates and could literally skate circles around all of us. But he was patient with all of us and we all seemed to pick it up eventually. Chase started doing so well that he was falling down on purpose because it was more fun to fall and make everyone laugh then to actually skate fine. And of course Shilo put on her skates and began skating very well even holding my hand for me. She did forget to wear socks, because it was the first week in December with NO snow, so she wore slip on's. And she got some pretty bad blisters, but really didn't complain at all. All in all it was a good party and Chase had a blast.

Happy Halloween!!!!!

Pretty Pretty Lady Bug!Kick Butt Rambo!

This Halloween we had so much fun. I think the kids got to put on and wear there costumes about a total of 5 times. They were so cute and excited to show them off every time. With everything from Trick or Treat St., parties, carving pumpkins, costume contests, to Trick or Treating we all made it the best Halloween. Shilo even spent hours picking out the seeds from the pumpkin guts to make us all some special roasted pumpkin seeds, and they were delicious. Chase was the star of his school parade and it was so much fun to watch. My friend and I dressed up as fire and ice and won a costume contest at work for the most original costume. We trick or treated about 4 blocks of our neighborhood and the kids have enough candy to last them all year, not that it will of coarse. I tried to find Chandler the whole time but all I could find was the cutest cow ever. His mommy said that it was Chandler dressed up and that he was in character, however, that was the best cow ever so I dont believe her. Over all after all of the chaos, red stained everything, and stress we had a great Halloween, but I'm glad its over....

7th Grade Choir Concert

Shilo had her first choir concert. She was so excited because we all know how much she loves to preform. The boys choir went first and it was so funny because nothing is more awkward then a 7th grade boy. After the boys were done the girls filled onto the stage with such a proud and positive vibe about them. She did an excellent job, we are so proud of her!

Boys Choir!

Can you find Shilo...She hid behind that girl the whole time hehe!

Just finished preforming and was all a glow.

And of course we all know Shilo was not done with the stage even though her performance was over, she is so cute.
